ED attack case: Court denies bail to five CPM activists; Kerala Police hunt 200 more suspects

The Thiruvananthapuram Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on Saturday denied bail to five CPM workers who were arrested in connection with the violent attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials while they were returning from a raid at the Thiruvananthapuram residence of former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in connection with the CMRL-Exalogic financial transaction case.

Monthly pay-off case: CMRL appeals to Kerala HC to quash ED probe

Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) filed an appeal on Friday before a Division Bench of the Kerala High Court challenging a single-judge order which refused to quash the Enforcement Directorate's (ED's) investigation into the alleged monthly pay-off case involving Exalogic Solutions, a company owned by former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter Veena Vijayan.
