The Nepal Army, which assumed control of security operations following Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s resignation amid Gen Z protest violence, Thursday extended the ongoing curfew in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur until 6 am tomorrow.
Jailbreak attempts were made in several districts, and weapons were looted as the Army was deployed to restore order in Nepal.
In a statement, the military urged the protesters not to resort to the violence and encouraged them to engage in dialogue to restore stability.
