Sharad Pawar’s party to join NDA but tussle continues for Maha Finance Ministry

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale said that Sharad Pawar and his NCP would be welcome in the NDA, if he joins the BJP-led ruling alliance.
The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) submitted a memorandum to the President regarding the rising burden of fuel prices, the national examination system, and the alleged growing insecurity among minorities, among other issues.
According to the formula, the BJP will contest 11 seats, the Shinde-led Sena will contest 4 seats, and the Sunetra Ajit Pawar-led NCP will contest 2 seats.
Sources said that the BJP stand, which was discussed at a meeting of the Sunetra Ajit Pawar-led NCP on Tuesday evening, has not gone down well with her partymen.
The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) officially denied BJP MP Narayan Rane's claim to a local Marathi TV news channel here on Friday that NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar may walk out of the Congress-backed Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and join hands with the BJP-backed Mahayuti after the Maharashtra assembly election results are declared.
Reacting to the allegations, Sharad Pawar said, "The person who made the allegations was in jail for several months. Only the BJP can prompt such a person to make false allegations."
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP candidate from Baramati Assembly constituency, Ajit Pawar on Wednesday cast his vote.
A bench comprising Justice Surya Kant and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan told the Ajit Pawar faction that they must fight the elections under their own identity and refrain from using Sharad Pawar’s name during the electioneering.
The top court also instructed the Ajit Pawar-led faction to “learn to stand on its own legs” and maintain individuality of the parties.
