The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run case has not yet been identified, nor have the identities of the deceased individuals been determined.
At least six people, including four women, were killed and 30 others injured on Thursday after the bus in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck on the National Highway No. 520 in Odisha’s Sundargarh district, police said.
The clarification came in the wake of reports that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) would collect user fees from two-wheeler riders at toll plazas.
