As of 31st December 2025, a total of 50,373 public health facilities across all States and Union Territories have been certified under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) – a comprehensive quality framework established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
An independent probe by the Madhya Pradesh State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) confirmed that the three cough syrup samples tested at the state laboratory were free of Diethylene Glycol (DEG) and Ethylene Glycol (EG).
Active cases stand at 0.07 per cent of the total active cases and the recovery rate is 98.74 per cent.
According to the Health Ministry's data, the total number of active cases in the country has declined to 51,314 from the earlier 53,852.
With the addition of the new fatalities, the nationwide death toll has climbed to 4,73,537.
A total of 267 deaths were registered in the last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,69,247, said the Ministry of Health and Family welfare here on Wednesday.
The active caseload stands at 1,18,443. Active cases presently constitute 0.34 per cent of the country's total positive cases, the lowest since March 2020.
The recovery of 11,982 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,37,75,086.
