The newly inaugurated facilities at Ranchi airport include the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Feature Wall with Statue as well as the UDAN Yatri Café, AVSAR Counter, Kids Zone and Flybrary.
Willie Walsh said the jet fuel shortage would hit Asia first, followed by Europe, Africa and Latin America.
"From 5 to 11 March, we’re operating 3 additional flights between Delhi and Toronto. From 7 to 10 March, we’ve added three flights between Delhi and Frankfurt, and one flight between Delhi and Paris (Charles de Gaulle)," Air India said in a statement.
The Ministry said airlines have been directed to undertake diversion or rerouting of flights strictly in accordance with global safety protocols and established contingency planning procedures in view of the evolving security situation in the Middle East.
