The probe agency has claimed that ex-Kolkata police chief Rajeev Kumar had destroyed the evidence in the chit fund scam when he headed the SIT.
The Supreme Court had last week refused to entertain the plea of Kumar seeking protection from arrest by CBI till concerned jurisdictional court in Bengal decides his anticipatory bail plea.
The notice, which is valid for a year till 23 May, 2020, was issued by the Bureau of immigration.
Kumar had moved the apex court on Monday seeking an extension of seven-day protection from arrest in the Saradha scam chit fund case.
The EC also directed that the present incumbent officers being shifted should not be involved by the state government in any election-related duty.
