Voter turnout: Almost 72 % in TN, 74 % in Kerala

In the Tamil Nadu Assembly election, 71.79% of voters turned for voting till 5 in the evening,Kerala recorded a voter turnout of 74% in the Assembly polls, Puduchery, recorded 76.03% voter turn out.

Winning Kerala is significant for Rahul

The May 2 result of Kerala polls will determine Rahul’s decision whether to take up the Congress president post again or not. The party is set to elect a new head in June and Rahul has decided not to run for the post.

Nemom: Three-way fight among BJP, Cong, CPM

BJP has fielded former Mizoram governor and senior party leader Kummanam Rajasekharan, from here, while CPI-M has deputed its old guard, V Sivankutty, to win back the constituency. The Congress has fielded sitting MP K Muraleedharan from the seat.
