The Home Ministry has said that due to the prevailing security scenario with Pakistan, it would not be possible to send Sikh pilgrims Jathas to Kartarpur Sahib and Nankana Sahib in November this year.

From the Indian border to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, Pakistan is building the corridor while from Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur up to the Pakistan border, India is building the corridor.
According to a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) press release, Sidhu had thanked Khan for inviting him to the inauguration.

On October 24, India and Pakistan signed a landmark agreement to operationalise the Kartarpur corridor to allow Indian Sikh pilgrims to visit the holy Darbar Sahib in Pakistan.
As per the press release by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sidhu thanked Pakistan Prime Minister for his invitation to the inauguration.
