The action was taken during a march towards organized by the Congress in support of their demand for a JPC probe into the Adani scam.

Manohar Parrikar was the defence minister when the deal for 36 Rafale jets was signed between India and France.
The demand for probe comes weeks after the Supreme Court gave a clean chit to the Centre on the procurement of 36 Rafale fighter jets from France.
He also accused Congress president Rahul Gandhi of spreading falsehood.
Soon after the Supreme Court dismissed all petitions questioning the Rafale fighter jet deal, the Congress reiterated its demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Rafale deal.
