The case was registered following a complaint by the varsity administration in writing, where it was alleged that an unidentified person indulged in act of 'public nudity' on the campus
Students from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Left-backed groups have filed complaints against each other.
Some students were injured in a clash between two groups in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) here, said police on Friday.
While accusing each other of creating a ruckus in the meeting, both ABVP and the Left parties claimed that their members were injured.
The police have also send legal notice to 37 more people who were part of the WhatsApp group involved in the violence.
She termed the protests against the CAA and NRC to be the result of widespread anger and frustration among the people against the BJP government.
'I challenge Mamata Banerjee and Rahul Baba to find out any provision from CAA that can take citizenship away from anyone in this county,' Shah said.
The Delhi Police's Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the violence on Friday identified nine suspects in the case including JNUSU president Aishe Ghosh.
'The sinister purpose of the law is clear to every patriotic, tolerant and secular Indian that it is to divide the Indian people on religious lines,' she said.
