India criticised Pakistan's conduct at the UN Security Council, saying elected members must act responsibly and not use global platforms to advance political agenda.
In a push to accelerate Jammu and Kashmir's transition to clean energy, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Thursday reviewed the status of ongoing solarisation projects and called for time-bound action to achieve renewable energy targets, including the development of mega solar parks and solar-powered government infrastructure.
By mentioning Jammu and Kashmir in the same context as the Ukraine war and calling for a "peaceful resolution of conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy", the statement appeared to portray Kashmir as an international dispute.
"Those who have no locus standi on such matters should desist from making any comment on them," said MEA Official Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.
Sending out a strong message against the growing drug menace, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said that the fight against narcotics is not merely a public health campaign but a crucial battle for national security, asserting that every rupee spent on drugs strengthens terror networks.
The visit was focused on preparation and readiness of the Directorate of Census for conducting the processes and training workshops in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh for smooth conduct of the Census of India 2027.
