With two days left for the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, the Hindu Sena activists put up a poster on the Babar Road signage with the name "Ayodhya Marg."
Terming the incident a 'PFI work', he alleged that the Pakistan intelligence agency ISI is funding to disrupt the peace in India.
"Today morning it has come to notice that few flags and banners have been put on the road and adjoining areas near JNU. In view of recent incidents, these were promptly removed and suitable legal action is being taken," Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Manoj C said.
The incident happened at around 4 p.m. when members of Hindu Sena were staging a protest outside Owaisi's house, located adjacent to the Election Commission headquarters.
The incident took place at the Panchsheel park area of the national capital where Hindu Sena workers pasted protest posters saying, 'China gaddar hai, Hindi cheeni bye bye' on the Chinese Embassy signboard.
The yagya was organised at Delhi's Jantar Mantar by the Hindu Sena.
Located in the heart of Delhi, Babur Road is named after was the first emperor of the Mughal dynasty in India.
