Authorities stepped up surveillance and enforced restrictions across Noida after recent unrest, even as workers resumed duties and an interim wage increase was rolled out to ease tensions.
On the instructions of the Minister of State for Excise (Independent Charge), Nitin Agarwal, District Excise Officer Subodh Kumar, posted in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, has been suspended, and orders have been issued for departmental proceedings against him.
