Apart from the Ashok Chakra, the President has approved the award of three Kirti Chakras; 13 Shaurya Chakras, including one posthumous; one Bar to Sena Medal (Gallantry); 44 Sena Medals (Gallantry), including five posthumous; six Nao Sena Medals (Gallantry), and two Vayu Sena Medals (Gallantry).
Out of the 233 Gallantry Medals announced this year, 152 security personnel from the Union Territory have been recognised for their gallant actions.

One President's Police Medal for Gallantry has been given to the Jammu and Kashmir Police (J&K Police) and one to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) posthumously.
Squadron Leader Ninad Anil Mandavgane (Posthumous) and Squadron Leader Siddharth Vashisht (Posthumous) were awarded the Vayu Sena Medal (gallantry) at the event.
