He stated that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a potential hub and is among the top three economies in the country, on track to achieve a $1 trillion economy within the next couple of years.
During a high-level review meeting held at the Irrigation Department headquarters in Udayganj on Tuesday, Singh said that if any negligence is found in the work, strict action will be taken against the concerned officers and employees.
In a post on X following the tabling of the Economic Survey 2025–26, PM Modi noted that the document underscores strong macroeconomic fundamentals, sustained growth momentum, and the expanding contributions of innovation, entrepreneurship, and infrastructure in nation-building.
The Union Minister assured that all necessary clauses and provisions have been included in the VB-G RAM G Act, 2025, in a legitimate manner.
Various steps have been taken to facilitate this year's millet procurement program by including the maximum number of millet growers. The millet will be procured under the ‘Shree Anna Abhiyan’ scheme at a remunerative price to the farmers, he said.
He emphasised that direct FPO–hotel linkages would form a powerful win-win model—boosting farmers’ incomes while enabling hotels to source premium, largely chemical-free ingredients.
The decisions are in response to long-standing requests from several states and are aimed at strengthening protection for farmers against sudden, localised, and severe crop damage.
Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi on Thursday requested the Central Government to push the deadline for the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) from July 31 to August 15, allowing more farmers to enroll in the crop insurance scheme.
