Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann following his ex-communication by the Akal Takht based on two controversial videos that the Akal Takht found to be authentic and not AI-generated.
Asking the Chief Minister to break his silence on the matter, Warring told him, “The people of Punjab are waiting for your answers on such serious charges.”

“For every Sikh across the globe, Shri Akal Takht is the supreme temporal authority, and its decisions are binding on everyone. As the Acting Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, has declared the two controversial videos related to Chief Minister Mann to be authentic after verification by two separate forensic laboratories, Mann must resign immediately as a mark of respect for the temporal authority of Shri Akal Takht and in view of the sensitivities involved,” he said.
“The issue is highly sensitive. When the Chief Minister can enact a stringent law against sacrilege, he must set an example by practising what he preaches. Caesar’s wife must be above suspicion,” Warring added.
