In a major citizen-centric decision, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday gave the nod to launch a special campaign for constructing 20,000 kilometres of link roads in the state at a cost of Rs 4,000 crore.
In the meeting with the Chief Minister, the State Property Department informed that the process of site selection for the first phase of work has been completed.
The CM said his government will give a major thrust to the development of both these areas. He said a detailed plan will be chalk out for this purpose so that these areas could get a major facelift in times to coming.
