According to airport sources, the flight had 180 passengers and six crew members.
The cabin crew immediately alerted the pilot, who informed Air Traffic Control (ATC). The flight safely landed at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi, where security agencies were promptly informed.
The pilot, realizing the severity of the situation, immediately contacted Varanasi's Air Traffic Control (ATC) and requested landing permission.
The aircraft reported a technical issue, prompting a full emergency to be declared at the airport as a precaution. Consequently, the plane landed safely at 3:51 pm on Runway 27, and all passengers and crew were evacuated safely.
