Bangladesh's Election Commission (EC) has officially registered the National Citizen Party (NCP) as a political party ahead of next year's election, local media reported on Wednesday.
In its petition, the party pointed out that the State Election Commission has notified elections for local bodies in two phases on December 9 and 11, while the draft electoral roll under the SIR is slated for publication on December 4.

Bihar Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vinod Singh Gunjiyal directed that Lalit Bhushan Ranjan be immediately relieved from all election-related duties.
