She said that people from different states, starting from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Gujarat to the North East, are settled in Delhi.
In a departure from the past, the Prime Minister interacted with the participants in an innovative manner. He engaged in an informal, freewheeling one-on-one interaction with the participants.
The Prime Minister also noted the presence of more than 400 sarpanches of the villages from border areas, which are being developed by the government under the Vibrant Village Program, and more than 100 women from self-help groups across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes on the occasion of Pongal and said the festive fervour can be witnessed emanating from every home in Tamil Nadu.
