The Economic Survey 2023-24 tabled in Parliament today highlighted that India, despite making significant strides in climate action, often faces criticism for not aligning with Western solutions.
The overall trade deficit reduced from $121.6 billion in FY23 to $78.1 billion in FY24.
Citing the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2021-22, it said the total enrolment in higher education has increased to nearly 4.33 crore in FY22 from 4.14 crore in FY21 and 3.42 crore in FY15, an increase of 26.5 per cent since FY15.

The Survey highlights that the latest NHA estimates for FY20 show an increase in the share of Government Health Expenditure (GHE) in the total GDP as well as the share of GHE in Total Health Expenditure (THE).
