The National Capital’s per capita income has always been around 2.6 times higher compared to the national average both at the current and constant prices, the Economic Survey said.
The Per Capita Income of Delhi at current prices reached at the level of Rs 389,529 in 2021-22 as compared to Rs 331,112 in 2020-21.
The economic survey report in the state assembly presented by Food and Civil Supplies Minister Amarjit Bhagat estimated the GDP at 8 per cent, which is higher than the previous year's market value.
According to the survey, the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of the state rose by 16.43 per cent, as compared to the previous financial year.
The Survey states that consumer price inflation in India went through three phases in 2022.
The production of pulses has also been notably higher than the average of 23.8 million tonnes in the last five years, the Survey says.
The survey highlighted that conservative budget assumptions provided a buffer during global uncertainties. The resilience in the fiscal performance was due to a recovery in economic activity and buoyancy in revenues.
The survey said that India's economic recovery from the Covid pandemic is complete and the economy is expected to grow in the range of 6 percent to 6.8 percent
