The security department of Eastern Railway was also sensitized. A team of 124 RPF staff from Eastern Railway had reached the spot and another 100 staff joined afterwards for rescue operations.
The train started its maiden journey with 500 passengers, including 200 from Kolkata, on Saturday noon and is to return to the city on 31 May. During its 11 days’ and 12 nights’ journey, the theme-based train would cover temple destinations like Omkareshwar, Mahakaleshwar, Somnath, Nageswar, and Trimbakeshwar and also Sainagar Shirdi.
The rating has been given by the Confederation of Indian Industries.
At Howrah station, a crowd of passengers also expressed anger for the late running of trains, reportedly.
The station is to play a crucial role after the final commissioning of the upcoming Noapara-Barasat via Biman Bandar Metro Project. It is to become one of the interchanging points of Metro Railway and Eastern Railway.
Similarly, the SER has nominated Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Mail for the event and the train is to be flagged off by family members of freedom fighters on 20 July.

Meanwhile, the South Eastern Railway has decided to run two pairs of Special Trains between Santragachi-Digha from today following high demand.
With the successful completion of CRS inspection of this section, Eastern Railway’s entire 2848 km is converted to electrified route.
