Leading the Delhi government's sweeping fuel-conservation measures by example, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her cabinet colleagues on Monday travelled by Metro before taking a connecting DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) bus ride to the secretariat.
At a review meeting of the Transport Department, Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh on Wednesday emphasised the importance of inclusive and data-driven planning, as well as leveraging the experience of DTC personnel in the ongoing Route Rationalisation exercise for the 9-metre DEVi buses.
To further enhance public transport and connectivity for the people of the national capital, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) will soon step up inter-state connectivity with the introduction of around 50 environment-friendly air-conditioned 12-meter-long buses on 17 routes.
