In a major step towards promoting clean, sustainable, and efficient urban mobility, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will launch an integrated hydrogen-powered shuttle bus service in Delhi’s Central Vista area starting Friday.
In a significant step towards advancing integrated urban mobility, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has partnered with Airtel Payments Bank to launch co-branded RuPay ‘On-The-Go’ Cards, enabled with NCMC (National Common Mobility Cards).
The proposal for the project has been submitted to the Public Works Department (PWD) for necessary approvals.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been selected for the esteemed ICI Awards 2025, presented by the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), Chennai.
"On the eve of Diwali, i.e. October 19, 2025 (Sunday), train services on the Pink, Magenta, and Grey lines, which usually begin at 7 AM on Sundays, will begin at 6 AM," a DMRC spokesperson said.
The award was presented during the 58th Engineer’s Day celebration organised by The Institute of Engineers (India), Delhi State Centre.
These lines, operational since 2002 and 2004 respectively, currently use Distance To Go (DTG) technology for signalling.
This feature allows commuters to make swift and secure ticket purchases with a single click, eliminating the need for external payment gateways.
