In a major step towards promoting clean, sustainable, and efficient urban mobility, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will launch an integrated hydrogen-powered shuttle bus service in Delhi’s Central Vista area starting Friday.
In a significant step towards advancing integrated urban mobility, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has partnered with Airtel Payments Bank to launch co-branded RuPay ‘On-The-Go’ Cards, enabled with NCMC (National Common Mobility Cards).
The proposal for the project has been submitted to the Public Works Department (PWD) for necessary approvals.

The decision comes to counter the situation of air pollution in the national capital, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) level at 324 at 7 pm.
"The Japanese delegation was briefed about the Delhi Metro project by senior DMRC officials at Central Secretariat, followed by a train ride from Central Secretariat to Patel Chowk and back," a DMRC spokesperson said.
The policy aims to institutionalise best practices in energy management and foster a culture of sustainability among DMRC employees, a DMRC spokesperson said on Tuesday.
"This is the first section beyond the Phase-IV’s priority corridors where physical work has been started," a DMRC spokesperson said.
"This MoU will leverage each other's strength and knowhow in implementation of Autonomous Navigation which is a Safe Smart and Next Gen Mobility solution for last mile connectivity in major metros and public transit in Tier II & III cities," a DMRC spokesperson said on Monday.
