Delhi’s PWD Minister, Parvesh Verma, has assured residents that all preventive measures to prevent waterlogging for the upcoming monsoon season will be completed by May 30.
The rainfall that hit Delhi as well as neighbouring regions on Sunday, such as Noida and Gurugram, forced residents to navigate through congested roads and flooded streets to reach their destination.
Sachdeva further stated that today, from Najafgarh to Patparganj, from Chandni Chowk to I.T.O., and from Sangam Vihar to Saidulajab, the entire city was seen struggling with waterlogging due to continuous rain.
MCD Mayor Dr Shelly Oberoi emphasized that the aging infrastructure, some of which are 20-30 years old and severely deteriorated, will be replaced.
