A fire broke out in a canteen in the North Campus of the DelhiUniversity on Friday evening, the Delhi Fire Services official said,adding that no injuries were reported in the unfortunate incident.
The Delhi University on Thursday announced a three-member committee to conduct the 2024-25 Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) elections.
The Delhi government has released about Rs 100 crore for colleges of Delhi University in the second quarter that are funded by the state government, an official statement said.
The petitioners further said the varsity has revised the earlier rule and brought forth the impugned rule by erroneously interpreting an earlier judgment of the Delhi High Court.
The complainant approached the district Cyber Cell of South Delhi and an FIR was lodged.
The order was in continuation of the court's Monday directive, which told the university to set up the email ID within a week. The DU was further told to publicise the information regarding this on its website and duly copy it to all the colleges.
'We are also concerned by the fact that neither the Delhi University's counsel or the Central government standing counsel are in a position to inform as to the number of students who have opted for a scribe to give the OBE,' it said.
The court said that there is a delay in sending of data and degree certificates for several years and the same have not been given to the students by Delhi University.
