Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has confirmed his availability to feature in Delhi’s next Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra in Rajkot, even as the Delhi and District Cricket Association awaits a word from former India skipper Virat Kohli.
In a move that will help many former players, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has revived the pension scheme for all former cricketers who have played less than 25 matches and do not get assistance from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Siddharth has entered the electoral field to take the association to the optimum levels of excellence so that both the game and players avail the best that would be offered.
A DDCA release stated that all the members unanimously "passed all the resolutions and agendas" but sources in the controversy-plagued cricket body informed that the AGM had its share of drama.
While Sharma did not respond to messages, a DDCA functionary confirmed the development and said that even the Cricket Advisory Committee will be re-appointed.
It is worth highlighting that Sharma had entered cricket administration after he received support and backing of former Finance minister Arun Jaitley.
The two were present at the event where the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium was renamed after former union minister and DDCA president Arun Jaitley. Meanwhile, a special stand was dedicated to Kohli.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Weightlifting Auditorium of the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
