A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan committed suicide on Wednesday at a forward camp in Mingachal, a Maoist-affected region in Bijapur district, southern Chhattisgarh. The jawan had returned from leave and joined the 22nd Battalion just a day earlier.
A senior faculty member of a constituent college under Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology in Udaipur committed suicide in Lake City on Thursday.
According to Shajapur SP Yashpal Singh Rajput, Constable Subhash Kharadi was presently posted in Dewas district.
The girl, on the other hand, ingested a deadly chemical on Wednesday and died during treatment, according to the SP.
The ED had also summoned AMMK leader T.T.V. Dhinakaran in connection with the bribery case.
The police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
"The victim took this extreme step due to the Faridabad police pressure. We need stern actions against the guilty policemen of the Faridabad police involved in this case," the complainant said.
A Dalit woman committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house after allegedly being sexually harassed by two men at Raipur village in the district, police said on Saturday.
