A six-member team from the CID carried out an hour-long search at the Ballygunge MLA's Bhabanipur residence and questioned Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay in relation to the case, police sources said.
The CID has been visiting several residences of TMC leaders in recent days, including the party's general secretary Abhishek Banerjee's Kalighat flat, as well as Beleghata MLA Kunal Ghosh.
