The West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) came knocking at former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s relative’s place at Kolkata’s Harish Mukherjee road on Thursday.
As per latest sources, it is not yet clear, the case pertaining to which the CID sleuths have reached the flat.

The CID has been visiting several residences of TMC leaders in recent days, including the party’s general secretary Abhishek Banerjee’s Kalighat flat, as well as Beleghata MLA Kunal Ghosh, to serve them summons related to the MLAs signature mismatch case.

The state invetigation agency is also investigating Abhishek Banerjee in an alleged inflammatory remarks case. The case pertains to one of his campaign speeches where he referred to playing DJ music, which was construed by some as a call to violence.
