Pinarayi Vijayan, who reached Thanur on Monday morning to oversee the rescue operations at the mishap site, also announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh each to the dependents of the deceased.
As many as 27 people survived the tragedy and were rescued by villagers of Tutugunta.
