The Mucor had not only penetrated the nasal cavity but also spread to his left lung and the right kidney -- reported in medical literature as the first case in the world after Covid infection, the hospital said in a statement.
According to police, the couple committed suicide by hanging after being apprehensive of getting infected with Covid-19 as they developed few symptoms of the disease.
Over the past two months, 83 patients of black fungus surfaced in Agra district. Out of these, 41 have been cured of the infection. All these patients are called for check-ups after every 15 days.
At least nine cases of Mucormycosis or black fungus, have been confirmed at the Sarojini Naidu Medical College (SNMC) in Agra.
The move is aimed at increasing the availability of the anti-fungal drug and testing kits in the country.

Similarly, many doctors said mucormycosis cases have been found even among Covid patients who did not use steroids.
Around eight persons who had tested positive for Covid19 died in Siliguri in the past 24 hours, sources said.
According to Prof Saha, the facility will be available once the proposed super-specialty block is functional.
As many as 28 injections of black fungus (Liposomal Amphotericin B) and 18 of Remdesivir were seized from them, apart from 8 mobile phones, Rs 16,000 in cash, two motorcycles and a car.
