This comes days after Punjab Police dismantled an inter-state cheating racket operating during the pharmacy officer recruitment examination.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today said Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann wanted to divert attention from his sacrilegious conduct against the Guru Sahiban and Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawala by summoning him for questioning in an eleven-year-old firing case in Behbal Kalan which was still under investigation after all these years.

The chief minister asserted that the AAP-led government in Punjab had never cited an empty treasury as an excuse for avoiding welfare measures.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening at the government de-addiction centre located in a village under the Kot Ise Khan area.
According to officials, Punjab currently has around 2.14 crore registered voters, and the revision exercise aims to update the electoral database ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections in the state.
Bhagwant Mann claimed celebrities are being targeted for their mass appeal as political parties look to convert fandom into votes. Diljit Dosanjh, however, has firmly rejected any political ambitions.
The Chief Minister further said that the Bhawanigarh-Kot Shamir road, Malerkotla-Barnala road and the Barnala-Bajakhana road corridor would be upgraded into four-lane highways to improve connectivity and facilitate smoother transportation across the region.
