This comes days after Punjab Police dismantled an inter-state cheating racket operating during the pharmacy officer recruitment examination.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today said Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann wanted to divert attention from his sacrilegious conduct against the Guru Sahiban and Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawala by summoning him for questioning in an eleven-year-old firing case in Behbal Kalan which was still under investigation after all these years.

The chief minister asserted that the AAP-led government in Punjab had never cited an empty treasury as an excuse for avoiding welfare measures.
The move is being viewed as a notable political setback for the ruling AAP, especially as the state prepares for upcoming civic body elections.
The Governor distanced himself from the political crossfire, stating that while he does not represent any political party, he believes that engaging in a blame game yields no benefits.
The legal notice wants Bhagwant Mann to issue an unconditional apology and withdraw his remarks. Further, it warns of criminal and civil legal action if not complied with within seven days.
The local community has raised serious questions regarding the pace of the police response.
