In a relief to former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP Central Parliamentary Committee member B.S. Yediyurappa, the Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed the trial proceedings pending before a Fast Track Court in connection with a POCSO case registered against him.
Former Chief Minister and BJP Parliamentary Board member B S Yediyurappa on Thursday slammed Opposition leader Siddaramaiah for demanding a ban on the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) on the lines of the Popular Front of India (PFI).
There was a demand from Mysuru region for Vijayendra to contest elections. "However, as I am vacating the constituency, he will represent it in the upcoming assembly elections," he said earlier.

Yediyurappa's announcement finally brought the curtains down on week-long suspense surrounding his continuation as Karnataka chief minister.
Yediyurappa, made the announcement teary-eyed. "I am resigning from this post. I am meeting Governor Thavarchand Gehlot after lunch and submitting my resignation.
"My government has given special attention towards the development of lakes, stormwater drains, and parks in the city. In the coming days, we want all the roads in the city to be developed, we will ensure sufficient funds for it, aimed at all-round development of the city," he told reporters after his city tour.
This convention is seen as a last-ditch effort to save Yediyurappa from resigning after July 26. Yediyurappa had maintained that he has not received any message from party high command till date but he was in anticipation of their message on July 25 (Sunday) evening, and until then he would be performing his duty.
Briefing reporters after the cabinet meeting, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Basavaraj Bommai said that all those communities, which are not part of the SC/ST/OBC lists, will be eligible to apply for jobs as well as for education seats under the EWS reservation category.
