The Monsoon Session opened with sharp political exchanges as the Samajwadi Party intensified its attack over alleged NEET irregularities and demanded stronger safeguards for competitive exams.
Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, addressing students and parents of the Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Rampur, said, "We are all fully with the youth and their parents in their campaign to save Jauhar University."

Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), calling it a "party of thugs" and claiming that the people of the state will wipe it out in the 2027 Assembly elections.
Citing thousands of duplicate votes from the same address in Mahoba and Noida, Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP of land grabbing and disturbing law and order.
He said that if such an incident happens in a 'prominent city' of the state, it indicates that either someone influential is involved in this illegal business or that the city has gone out of his control.
On September 9, BJP worker Siyaram Upadhyay (35) was injured after police allegedly used lathicharge against around 20-25 people who were sitting on a dharna outside the Nonhara police station against the installation of an electricity pole in the area.
Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) national president Om Prakash Rajbhar, on Tuesday, hit back at Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav over his remarks made on Rajbhar’s birthday a day earlier.
"It is just an interim order on Waqf by the apex court and more relief will come soon," he said.
