India's daily recoveries continued to outnumber the daily new cases for the 16th consecutive day on Friday and 2,84,601 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours, Union Health Ministry's latest data revealed on Saturday.
The country’s total caseload now stands at 1,53,21,089 with 20,31,977 active Covid-19 cases. This is the sixth straight day that the country has recorded over 2 lakh cases.
The country’s total caseload now stands at 1,50,61,919 with 19,29,329 active Covid-19 cases. This is the fifth straight day that the country has recorded over 2 lakh cases.
The country’s total tally of Covid-19 cases now stands at 1,42,91,917 cases of which 15,69,743 are active Covid-19 cases. This is the second straight day that the country has recorded daily spike of over 2 lakh cases.
“Trends show the virus is still very active and enter our defences, just when we think we can control it, it sparks back,” said VK Paul, Chairman of National Expert Committee on Vaccine Administration at the briefing by the health ministry amidst the surge in Covid-19 cases.
Delhi, which has recorded high cases and deaths in the last few days, has recorded the highest coronavirus cases, in the last 24 hours with 5,879 in the country. The capital has also recorded the highest deaths in the country at 111, in the last 24 hours.
The country’s total coronavirus caseload stands at 88,14,579 with 4,79,216 active Covid-19 cases. The active cases in the country which comprise 5.44 per cent of the total caseload.
