A few big names, including former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum, Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga and South African speedster Dale Steyn, are among the 346 players who will go under the hammer during the upcoming IPL auction 2019. The Indian Premier League (IPL) players’ auction will be held in Jaipur on December 18.
Initially, 1003 players had registered for the players’ auction. The list was pruned after IPL teams submitted their shortlists.
As per a Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) press release, nine overseas players (McCullum, Chris Woakes, Malinga, Shaun Marsh, Colin Ingram, Corey Anderson, Angelo Mathews, D’Arcy Short) have registered themselves for the top bracket of Rs 2 crore.

Jaydev Unadkat, who was the top Indian grosser during the last IPL auctions bagging a whopping of Rs 11.5 crore, had put himself under the base price of Rs 1.5 crore this time.
Veteran Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh and former KXIP player Axar Patel have set their base price at Rs 1 crore.
South Africa’s Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel will hope to return to action for the 12th season of IPL. The duo have put themselves into the Rs 1.5 crore bracket.
