Jammu and Kashmir: Army’s rescue operation in flood-hit Rajouri saves 11 civilians
Among the 11 rescued persons, five were children. They were stranded at different places in the flood-affected district following incessant rainfall.

A woman was injured on Wednesday when the Indian and Pakistan armies traded heavy fire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.
Police sources said the Pakistan Army used mortars, small weapons and automatics to target Indian positions in Shahpur and Balakote areas. The shelling left a 50-year-old woman injured.

“Indian troops are effectively and strongly retaliating. Till last reports came in firing exchanges were going on between the two sides,” police sources said.
