UGC NET 2018:  UGC NET examination will be conducted by NTA from December 9 to 23 2018. Candidates should note that the online window for the registration process for National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2018 will close on September 30, 2018.

Candidates are advised to submit their online application form before that.

UGC NET 2018: IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Admit card download: November 19, 2018

• UGC NET 2018: December 9 to 23, 2018

• Results declaration: January 10, 2018

NEW EXAM PATTERN FOR UGC NET 2018

Candidates should note that from this year, instead of 3 papers there will be only 2 papers.

Paper 1:

• Paper 1 is going to be of 100 marks. It will contain 50 objective type questions with each question of 2 marks.

• The questions will be of a general nature and will test the teaching aptitude of the candidate.

• The duration of Paper 1 is one hour (9:30 am to 10:30 am)

Paper 2:

• Paper 2 is also going to be of 100 marks. It will contain 100 questions with each question of 2 marks.

• Paper 2 will be based on the subject chosen by the candidate.

• The duration of the above paper is going to be for two hours (11 am to 1 pm)

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:

• All the candidates should secure a minimum of 55 per cent of marks in masters degree or equivalent from a recognized university.

• However, for OBC, SC/ST/PwD and transgender candidates there is the relaxation of 5 per cent. They need to secure at least 50 per cent marks in master’s degree.

Note: Those who are in the final year of their Masters can also apply. They must complete their degree within two years from the date of the NET exam with the minimum percentage required.
