The City of Taj, Agra, is gearing up for a grand welcome of the delegates coming to attend the G20 meeting here on February 11 and 12. During the meeting, the foreign delegates would visit three historical sites, namely Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah Memorial.
All the three monuments will remain closed for four hours for general public and tourists on February 12.
Officials here on Sunday said the first meeting of the guests of G-20 countries in the country is proposed in Agra on February 11 and 12 .
Representatives of G20 countries will come to Agra by the night of February 10 to participate in the meeting. The G20 delegation will participate in a conference on women empowerment on 11 February.
District Magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal said on February 12, the guests from G20 countries will see Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah. He said, all the three monuments will remain closed for common tourists for three to four hours when the delegates will visit.
The time to visit the monuments has not been decided as yet. This information will be given to the tourists a day in advance, so that the tourists do not face any problem, DM said.
Ministers of many countries will come in the first meeting of G-20 to be held in Agra.
Primary information received by the administration, said that there will be a meeting of the Group of Ministers to discuss the issue of women empowerment in the first meeting. There will be ministers from many countries who are associated with culture and women empowerment.
