Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav on Friday extended birthday greetings to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who turned 73 today.
”Best wishes to Bihar CM Shri NitishKumar Ji on his birthday. Praying for his long and healthy life in service of the people,” Prime Minister Modi wrote on X.
Nitish Kumar became the Bihar CM for the 9th term after he resigned from the post and joined hands with the BJP recently.

The Bihar CM expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his good wishes and thanked him wholeheartedly for his cooperation.
He wrote on X, ”A new government has been formed in Bihar with the NDA alliance. The public is the supreme and serving them is our basic objective. With the NDA coalition government at the Centre and the state, development work will gain momentum and the people of the state will prosper. ”
Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav also wished Nitish Kumar. ”I pray to God for your good health, happiness and long life,” he wrote. In return, Nitish Kumar thanked him profusely.
No other senior leader from the RJD except former Deputy CM Tejashwi extended greetings. Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi or Tej Pratap Yadav did not post anything on X.
Tejashwi Yadav has many times appeared soft on Nitish Kumar. Even after Nitish Kumar joined NDA on January 28, he had told Nitish Kumar that ”you are elder and respectable for us” and wished him a healthy life.
Several NDA MLAs met the Bihar CM and greeted him on his birthday. Among others Bihar Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha also wished Kumar.
