Union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha supremo Jitan Ram Manjhi has said that NDA ally and Janata Dal-United Chief Nitish Kumar made him the Chief Minister of Bihar in 2014 which was a "huge honour" for him.
He emphasised the urgency of improving the law and order situation and instructed the officials to intensify their efforts to ensure the safety and security of the state's residents.
Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Jitan Ram Manjhi has had an extensive political career, including serving as the 23rd chief minister of Bihar from 20 May 2014 to 22 February 2015.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday announced a compensation of Rs 4 Lakhs each for the bereaved families of 4 people who died due to lightning in Siwan, Supaul and Rohtas.
The issue of special status and economic package for Bihar was also discussed in the meeting.
The JDU National Executive meeting comes amid reports of Sanjay Jha being elevated to the post of party president.
