Lok Sabha Election 2024, Phase 1: Voting on 102 seats underway
In the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024, as many as 102 constituencies spanning across 21 states and Union Territories will elect their new MPs.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted the nation on the occasion of Maha Shivratri, the festival celebrating the wedding of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
In a tweet, Modi said: “Greetings on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri.”

Millions of devotees across the country are celebrating the festival, considered to be one of the holiest by the Hindu community, by singing hymns and prayers, to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings.
Temples too are witnessing long lines of devotees since early morning to offer prayers, flowers and fruits.
