Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday used his address ahead of Parliament’s Monsoon Session to speak about India’s economy, the conflict in West Asia, the country’s recent technology milestones and what he expects from lawmakers during the weeks ahead.
From saying India remained the world’s fastest-growing major economy despite global turmoil to praising the young team behind Skyroot Aerospace’s Vikram-1 launch, PM Modi also urged MPs to avoid disruption and focus on discussions backed by “facts and logic.”

1. India grew 7.7% despite the West Asia crisis

PM Modi said the conflict in West Asia created major challenges for India because of its dependence on imported energy, fertilisers and chemicals.
“Despite this, India has maintained a growth rate of 7.7 per cent, emerging as the fastest-growing major economy in the world,” he said.
2. India’s growth shows its ‘inherent strength’
Calling the economic performance a sign of resilience, PM Modi said the growth rate reflected the country’s determination to keep moving forward despite global uncertainty.
“This reflects India’s inherent strength and the enthusiasm with which the nation wants to achieve new milestones.”
3. Parliament should debate, not create a storm
Making a pitch for a smooth Monsoon Session, the Prime Minister said Parliament should focus on meaningful discussions instead of disruption.
“Where there are facts and logic, there is no room for creating a storm.”
4. Every MP’s experience is needed
PM Modi said experienced parliamentarians from every political party have an important role to play during the session.
“The country and Parliament need their experience and knowledge. Meaningful discussions and a collective resolve to take the nation forward are the need of the hour.”
5. The aspirations of young Indians cannot be ignored
The Prime Minister said India’s youth want the country to move faster and Parliament should match those aspirations.
“The country’s youth, who are full of aspirations, demand that we move forward.”
6. Skyroot’s average age is just 28
Praising Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace after the successful Vikram-1 launch, Modi highlighted the age of the team behind the mission.
“I am not talking about a 56-year-old youth. I am talking about youngsters with an average age of 28 years, who have held India’s flag high on the international stage.”
7. India’s youth have limitless potential
PM Modi said the country’s recent achievements send a powerful message about the next generation.
“The potential and aspirations of our country’s youth are as boundless as space itself.”
8. Recent projects show India’s changing profile
Listing recent achievements, PM Modi pointed to Rajasthan’s new oil refinery, India’s third semiconductor plant and the country’s green hydrogen-powered train.
He said these developments show India is steadily expanding its industrial and technological capabilities.

The Prime Minister said India’s recent successes belong to its scientists, engineers, innovators, entrepreneurs and workers.
“This achievement is a testament to the dedication of India’s scientists, engineers, innovators, entrepreneurs and workers.”

Concluding his remarks, PM Modi appealed for respectful debate where every viewpoint gets an opportunity.
“When arguments and evidence are solid, one can convey the message even calmly. May every voice get an opportunity, and may every idea receive due respect.”
