Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjab president Ashwani Sharma on Saturday said Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has made a mockery of governance by resorting to tweeting instead of taking decisive decisions.

Referring to the CM’s tweet on Saturday assuring three crore Punjabis that no one will be allowed to cast an evil eye on the peace, progress and prosperity of the state, Sharma said, “I need to remind him (Mann) that he is the chief Minister and it is his constitutional duty to give good governance and main law and order” .

The BJP leader, however, said it seems since he (Mann) is a puppet CM, all the decisions are routed through Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal via Delhi. “In the last eleven months since AAP came to power the state has become more like Bihar. Gangsters rule the state and the common man is living in constant fear,” he added.

Sharma said the number of murders in broad light and kidnapping are rising at an alarming rate. “Never in the history of Punjab have we faced such mayhem,” he added.

Sharma said the BJP stands committed to play its nationalist role and will never allow the communal harmony to be disturbed.  The AAP will face its nemesis in the ensuing parliamentary elections as the people have made up their mind to vote for BJP, he added.

Meanwhile, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal said the sad thing is that even though the CM knows everything, he (Mann) is putting the state on fire. “Take appropriate action rather than boasting, because after witnessing everything, Punjabis no longer trust the government running remotely from Delhi. Bhagwant Mann   stop bragging, give results,” he said in a tweet.
