As many as 15 BJP MLAs, including LoP Jairam Thakur, were suspended by Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Wednesday.

MLAs who were suspended included Vipin Singh Parmar, Randheer Sharma, Lokender Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Hans Raj, Janak Raj, Balbir Verma, Trilok Jamwal, Surender Shori, Deep Raj, Puran Thakur, Inder Singh Gandhi, Dileep Thakur and Inder Singh Gandhi.

The MLAs were expelled for allegedly shouting slogans and misconduct in the Chamber of the Speaker.

Earlier, Himachal Pradesh Minister Vikramaditya Singh stepped down from his position, a day after the Rajya Sabha election result in the state.

LoP Jairam Thakur along with BJP’s legislative party met Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and demanded division of votes for the financial budget in the House.

Thakur said, “We demanded division during the cut motion on the financial bill, but it was not allowed. After that, the way Marshal behaved with all the MLAs was not right. ”
